Job summary

Vision IT is seeking a Field Support Technician to join our Field Services team, supporting secure IT operations for mission-critical personnel and systems. You will handle setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user devices across on-site and remote environments.

The role requires 3+ years in desktop support or related fields, Active Secret Clearance, and CompTIA Security+ certification. You’ll manage IT assets, ensure security standards, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain

• 3+ years of experience in desktop support, field services, or systems administration.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong attention to accuracy when recording data for processing and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for end-user devices, including setup, installation, configuration, connectivity, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Ensure secure access to enterprise networks, internet services, shared resources, and peripheral devices.
• Respond to technical issues per service level objectives (SLOs) with timely resolution.
• Deliver after-hours support as needed for high-priority incidents.
• Manage inventory of IT assets (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, monitors, printers, audiovisual equipment).
• Monitor device performance and maintain compliance with security standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align support with cybersecurity requirements.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, access controls, maintenance activities, and asset tracking.
• Serve as liaison between leadership and technical teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Record support activities and metrics clearly; participate in technical planning meetings.
