Job summary

Convergint Federal is seeking a Service Technician III to install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems. The role emphasizes client satisfaction within Field Operations, requiring integrity, accountability, and strong communication.

The candidate should have 8+ years in security systems, relevant certifications, and the ability to obtain required licenses. A Top Secret/SCI clearance may be sponsored, with travel 25–35% and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree/GED required; trade certification preferred.
• 8+ years in installation and maintenance of security systems; 100K+ project experience.
• Product certifications like Lenel S2, DMP, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure 9000, Software House, AMAG are beneficial.
• Industry licenses or ability to obtain required licenses by state law.
• Configure basic networks, servers, workstations, applications, and OS support.
• Able to communicate with client stakeholders; conduct site surveys and document details.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems (access control, video, intrusion).
• Conduct system upgrades and modifications per client requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams for successful security solution implementations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Provide remote and on-site support to address client concerns.
• Train clients on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventories.
• Ensure installations meet company and industry standards.
• Support knowledge base and best practices within the team.
