Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site IT deployment, integration, and sustainment for the Air National Guard across CONUS. This remote role requires more than 50% travel and a Secret clearance.

You will work with systems engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity, and logistics teams to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems per DoW requirements while ensuring security and compliance across 180+ ANG installations.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification required (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND)
• Experience with enterprise hardware platforms and networking technologies
• Ability to interpret engineering docs, drawings, wiring diagrams, and procedures
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service, with non-technical users in mind
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical installation activities
• Willingness to travel >50% for nationwide deployments

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at field locations
• Performs maintenance and technical support on hardware, systems and software
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to minimize downtime
• Performs system programming and optimization during installation
• Provides on-site end-user training on operation and maintenance
• Travels to customer sites and supports field technician duties
• Reviews configurations to ensure successful production deployment
• Collaborates with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents
