Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and sustain ANG IT infrastructure across CONUS installations. This role involves hands-on field work and significant travel, with flexible remote options and close collaboration with engineers and cybersecurity teams.

Qualified candidates will hold DoD 8140 Level II certification, security clearance, and experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND)
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation procedures
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and perform physical installation activities
• Ability to travel more than 50% in support of nationwide deployment activities

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at customer sites
• Performs maintenance and technical support on products and software
• Troubleshoots malfunctions to minimize downtime
• Installs, upgrades and removes products per site assessments
• Maintains effective customer communications and relations
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and troubleshooting
• Travels to customer sites for field technician duties
• Tests and trains customers on designated systems and services
• Delivers technical problem resolution and product customization
• Reviews system configurations to ensure successful deployment
