Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site IT support for ANG modernization across CONUS. You will perform hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems in line with DoW requirements.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent travel, and collaboration with engineers, cybersecurity and logistics teams to ensure secure, compliant deployments.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawings and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to travel more than 50% in support of nationwide deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Performs maintenance and technical support on products at customer or field locations.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and maintenance.
• Travels frequently to customer sites for field technician duties.
• Tests, trains and supports customers on designated systems and services.
• Reviews configurations to ensure successful deployment into production.
• Partners with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents.
