Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to deliver on-site and remote IT support for the ANG infrastructure across CONUS. Candidates must reside near Chantilly, VA; travel exceeds 50% for nationwide deployments and occasional remote work is possible in the Chantilly area.

Join a team working with systems engineers, cybersecurity, logistics, and program management to install, troubleshoot, and sustain IT systems per DoW requirements. DoD 8140 Level II certs and Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certs required (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise hardware and networking tech.
• Ability to read engineering docs, drawings, wiring diagrams and procedures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication and customer service skills for diverse users.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical installs.
• Travel more than 50% for nationwide deployments.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment at sites.
• Perform field maintenance and technical support for IT systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and implement fixes efficiently.
• Coordinate installations and system changes with engineers.
• Provide on-site user training and support personnel as needed.
• Travel to customer sites and support deployments nationwide.
