Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Field Support Technician to deliver remote and on-site IT support for ANG modernization across CONUS installations. The role emphasizes hands-on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems with strict compliance to DoD and DoW requirements.

Travel will be more than 50% nationwide, with potential for remote work flexibility. A Secret clearance and DoD certs are required to support DoW/DoD environments and Active Directory, M365, and

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and common networking technologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, drawings, wiring diagrams and installation procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds and perform physical installation activities.
• Ability to travel more than 50% for nationwide deployment activities.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at field locations.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and minimizes downtime during deployments.
• Conducts system programming and optimization as part of installation processes.
• Performs routine maintenance and hardware configuration tasks.
• Provides on-site end-user training on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Travels frequently to customer sites to perform field technician duties.
• Tests and trains customers on technical aspects of systems and services.
• Collaborates with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents.
• Reviews system and network configurations to ensure successful production deployment.
