Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer (level 2) or Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to join the AVE Modeling and Simulation and Analysis team. You will drive trajectory simulations, develop targeting algorithms, and implement advanced modeling for aerospace vehicles.

The role requires US citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SAP approval. Strong programming in C++, MATLAB, and Python, plus experience with TAOS/AFSIM, will be essential.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance at time of application
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• Modeling, simulation, and analysis experience for aerospace vehicles
• Experience with Git
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Execute trajectory simulation tools in 3 and 6 degrees of freedom and analyze results
• Develop algorithms for missile targeting software
• Implement numerical methods and missile models
• Support trajectory simulations for payload to range, maneuverability, and flight test predictions
