Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will develop, integrate, and maintain system-level models to support architecture trades, requirements analysis, and performance assessments.

Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams to derive modeling needs and use cases; plan model verification and validation; document assumptions and results; and present trade study findings to program leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in a STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience or an M.S. with related experience.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools or languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++).

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain system-level models to support architecture trades and performance assessments.
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams to derive modeling needs and use cases.
• Plan and execute model verification and validation activities with defined criteria and data sources.
• Document model assumptions, limitations, parameters, and V&V results for stakeholders.
• Use M&S results to support technical decisions, risk identification, and recommendations.
• Support preparation and delivery of technical briefings, results summaries, and trade studies.
