Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA, to develop and maintain system-level models supporting architecture trades and performance assessments. You will collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams to ensure model credibility and proper use.

The role requires proficiency with modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++) and an active US Government Secret clearance, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Bachelors in a STEM field required with relevant experience; advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience with modeling and simulation is required or highly preferred.
• Ability to plan and execute model verification and validation (V&V).

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain system-level models and simulations.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to define modeling needs and use cases.
• Plan and execute model verification and validation activities with defined criteria.
• Document assumptions, limitations, and V&V results for stakeholder communication.
• Support delivery of technical briefings and trade study findings.
