Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate appropriate for the position; ESL certification required during first year if not already obtained.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam requirements met, if applicable.
• Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position per Federal and/or State law.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements and show written preparation evidence.
• Provide accommodations for differences in student learning styles and follow TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction based on results; collaborate with the special education teacher for IEP-based modifications.
• Coordinate with staff to set instructional goals, assign duties to aides/volunteers, and leverage technology to enhance teaching.
