Job summary

• Support Lean Sigma programs towards delivery of targets.
• Must follow safety and quality policies at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day production activities of plant products at the most economical cost consistent with prescribed quality standards in a timely manner.
• Create short-interval look-ahead production schedules that ensure upcoming events are communicated, tracked and attended.
• Promote site initiatives including plant safety programs, lean initiatives, training programs, etc., and interpret/apply HR policies.
• Assure SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to.
• Participate in resolution of employee complaints and performance issues; coach and evaluate performance.
• Manage resources to ensure on-time production and delivery of orders.
• Verify production data is accurately recorded.
• Maintain and verify hours worked by employees.
• Ensure smooth startup of new processes and ongoing production across departments.
• Maximize capital resources and assist in maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Continuously evaluate processes and form teams to improve them.
• Perform other duties as needed and comply with all policies.
