Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Operations to oversee production processes and personnel on assigned night shifts.

The role ensures adherence to procedures, quality standards, safety and schedules while driving effective team relations to improve customer service and company profits. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in manufacturing with prior supervisory experience and is skilled in problem solving, interpersonal communication, SPC tools, and Lean

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Prior supervisory experience.
Must have effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day production activities of plant products on assigned shifts with focus on cost, quality, safety and schedules.
Create short-interval look-ahead production schedules and ensure communications and tracking.
Promote site initiatives including safety programs, lean, and training; interpret HR policies.
Ensure SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
Coach employees on performance, attendance and teamwork; address issues as needed.
Manage resources to ensure on-time production and delivery of orders.
Verify accuracy of production data and hours worked.
Support smooth startup of new processes and ongoing production.
