Job summary

Wayne Farms in Bryan, TX is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel and ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA, OSHA, and company policies while achieving high productivity and satisfying customer specifications.

The role includes leading a team, coordinating shifts, and mentoring staff to support continuous improvement and safety. Must be able to communicate effectively in English and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred.
• Demonstrated one year leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence and conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers; multiple languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet production schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports (attendance, yields, etc.) are completed.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe and sanitary environment per USDA requirements.
• Mentor, coach and train employees and administer performance actions.
• Enforce safety policies and wear PPE; promote a zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet goals; adhere to Union contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
