You will oversee one Team Leader and about 25 employees, managing safety, quality, and productivity in a high-volume, unionized automotive plastics environment. You will lead staffing, monitor performance, troubleshoot line issues, and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to sustain smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Must have supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong floor leadership, ability to set expectations and hold teams accountable.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Unionized environment familiarity is preferred.
• Experience with production metrics, scrap reduction, downtime management, and continuous improvement.

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations and ensure safe, efficient production.
• Lead one Team Leader and ~25 employees across loading, unloading, inventory, and quality.
• Allocate labor/resources to meet daily production requirements and handle constraints.
• Monitor line performance, quality, scrap, downtime, and materials; act to meet targets.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot the automated paint line and related equipment; escalate as needed.
• Ensure proper staging and control of paint, components, and packaging.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and provide handover to next shift.
• Train employees and enforce standardized work within unionized environment.
• Complete production reports and drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement.
