Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Outbound Freight Handler in Fort Worth, TX. You will load and unload freight, assist in recouping damaged goods, and prepare trailers for loading with safe lifting techniques.

You will weigh and dimension shipments, verify bills and manifests, and ensure proper packing and hazardous material handling where required. Prior forklift experience and a valid certification are preferred, with current background and drug tests required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; background check and drug test required.
• Experience as Forklift Operator, Dock, Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off of equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect, and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments; plan cube usage and weight distribution.
• Verify manifests, freight bills, and hazardous material paperwork as needed.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
