Job summary

sefl is seeking a FT Outbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, inspect trailers, and ensure safe handling. You will use forklifts and other equipment to move shipments, verify weight distribution and document any shortages or damage.

Experience as a forklift operator or warehouse worker is preferred, and a forklift certification is a plus. A high school diploma or GED is preferred and candidates must pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Prior forklift certification and related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate handling equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading freight; ensure safe loading and weight distribution.
• Weigh and dimension shipments; review freight bills and manifests for accuracy.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport; verify hazardous material paperwork.
