Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines seeks a FT Outbound Freight Handler in Fort Worth, TX. You will load/unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling with proper equipment. It requires safety awareness, background check and drug screen readiness, and forklift certification is preferred.

The role focuses on accurate weighing/dimensioning, reporting shortages or damage, and reviewing freight bills and manifests for accuracy. Second shift available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
• Prior experience as Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Use safe lifting techniques and appropriate equipment.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for proper rating and handling.
• Review freight bills and check manifests against paperwork.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
