Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Inbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and ensure safe handling. You will use forklifts and hand trucks, weigh shipments, and verify manifests and hazardous material paperwork.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, background and drug tests, and preferably prior forklift, dock, or warehouse experience. Pay ranges per hour and may vary by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Prior forklift experience and certification preferred.
• Experience as a forklift operator, dock, warehouse, or material handler is desirable.
• Background check and alcohol/drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Assist in recouping damaged freight and inspect/prepare trailers.
• Use safe lifting techniques and appropriate handling equipment.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for classification and safe handling.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
