Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Inbound Freight Handler in Fort Worth, TX to load and unload freight, inspect trailers, and assist with damaged freight. You will operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and arrange freight, while ensuring safe weight distribution and paperwork accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to pass a background check and drug test, and prior forklift/warehouse experience is preferred. Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for proper classification and safe handling.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution during loading.
• Verify hazardous material documentation and placarding when needed.
• Inspect freight and documents for shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
