Job summary

Bonita Packing Co A Corp is seeking a Second Shift Processing Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production lines, enforce GMPs, ensure food safety, and drive efficiency. This exempt role leads a team, coordinates schedules, and troubleshoots production issues in a fast-paced facility in California.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervision in food manufacturing, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and MES systems preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers and line operators.
• Oversee second-shift production operations, ensuring schedules are met while maintaining quality, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor product quality and adjust operations to correct issues.
• Enforce GMPs and food safety protocols.
• Train, coach, and mentor production staff to improve skills and productivity.
• Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and supply chain to resolve production issues.
• Maintain production records and shift documentation.
• Lead daily shift meetings and communicate goals and safety reminders.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
