Bonita Packing Co A Corp is seeking a Second Shift Processing Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production lines, enforce GMPs, ensure food safety, and drive efficiency. This exempt role leads a team, coordinates schedules, and troubleshoots production issues in a fast-paced facility in California.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervision in food manufacturing, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and MES systems preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers and line operators.

• Monitor product quality and adjust operations to correct issues.

Shift: Second Shift (typically 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm)

Reports To: Production Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Summary:

The Second Shift Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food production lines, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met. This role leads production teams, manages workflows, troubleshoots production issues, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers and line operators.


• Supervise second-shift production operations, ensuring schedules are met while maintaining quality, food safety, and sanitation standards.


• Monitor product quality and adjust operations or processes to correct problems.


• Enforce compliance with company policies, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety protocols.


• Conduct regular inspections of the production area for safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.


• Train, coach, and mentor production staff to enhance skills and productivity.


• Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues.


• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and shift documentation.


• Lead daily shift meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and safety reminders.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.


• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.


• Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems (e.g., ERP, MES).


• Bilingual preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.


• Ability to lift 50 pounds.


• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (cold storage 34-40 degrees Fahrenheit).
