Job summary

Miniat is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the 2nd shift in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will supervise QA Technicians, ensure compliance with USDA regulations, and lead investigations into quality issues.

The role requires coordinating with Production and Operations, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in food safety and quality. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
• 3–5 years in a food manufacturing QA role.
• Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and QA procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of QA Technicians and provide leadership.
• Oversee the implementation of food safety programs to ensure safety of ingredients and finished products.
• Support product trials, process changes, and start-ups with QA input.
• Collaborate with production to resolve product inconsistencies.
• Review QA, HACCP, SSOP, and other quality records for accuracy and compliance; initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for food safety and quality issues.
• Provide guidance, training, and development to QA staff; participate in hiring and evaluations.
