Job summary

Baptist Health in Paducah, KY is seeking a Cook for full-time, second shift (9:30a-6:00p). You will prepare entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu items following standardized recipes and quality standards.

The role involves proper labeling and rotation of products, maintaining organized storage, and coordinating with the Food Service Supervisor to meet daily production goals. Cleanliness and food safety are essential throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1–3 months of kitchen or food prep experience preferred
• Food Handler card or Servsafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches and other menu items per recipes
• Rotates, labels and dates products; maintains dry, refrigerated and frozen storage
• Replenishes food items for next day production and coordinates with supervisor
• Maintains clean and sanitary work area and equipment; follows cleaning schedule
• Communicates daily with Food Service Supervisor/Manager on production strategies and quality standards
• Ensures proper labeling and storage to uphold safety and quality
