S&L Hospitality in Port Washington, Wisconsin is seeking an Experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will adhere to the restaurant menu and food health and safety procedures, drawing on prior heart-of-house experience (prep or line cook) and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.

We value a self-motivated, professional attitude, and will look for candidates who can work evenings for dinner prep and service.

Qualifications

• Two years of hospitality or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to push/pull/bend/lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 70 lbs, and frequently 15 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or minimum age required by law).
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Detail-oriented with focus on a clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to handle knives, utensils, and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients using proper techniques and utensils.
• Ensure proper plate presentation and orders meet guest expectations.
• Follow food health and safety policies and procedures.
• Keep workstation and kitchen environment sanitized and orderly.
• Check ingredient quality, restock, and replenish station as necessary.
