Job summary

S&L Hospitality is seeking a Line and Prep Cook to work in our kitchen, following the restaurant menu and health-safety procedures while preparing ingredients and plating orders to guest expectations.

Ideal candidates have prior prep/line cook experience, can work independently, and remain detail-oriented with strong English communication. Flexible scheduling and a supportive team environment are offered at this location.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 70 lbs, and frequently 15 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• Detail-oriented with focus on clean, safe environment.
• Professional attitude and composure.
• Must communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Must handle knives and equipment with proper hand positioning and be mindful of weight and balance.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation with all ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients using proper techniques and utensils.
• Ensure proper plate presentation and meet guest expectations.
• Follow food health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a sanitized, orderly kitchen workstation and environment.
• Check ingredient quality and restock station as needed.
