Reporting to the Sous Chef, the role emphasizes quality, food safety, and teamwork in a dynamic kitchen. Prior culinary experience and a passion for excellence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must have a technical, trade or vocational school degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
