Job summary

Ilitch Sports + Entertainment is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Lakeland Sales Team in prospecting, selling, activating, and servicing group ticket accounts and sponsorships, including hospitality packages and events. You will provide top-tier service to guests and clients and assist with renewals and lead generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education & experience considered.
• Sales and/or customer services experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, phone and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel; plus, database management skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in renewal of existing ticket and corporate partners.
• Conduct daily cold calls to prospective clients.
• Support Lakeland Sales Team with ticket and sponsor fulfillment and activation.
• Update and maintain customer database.
• Generate new leads and creative ways to sell ticket packages and sponsorships.
• Coordinate with sales team and ticket office for ticket/hospitality needs.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients.
• Research and prospect new sales leads.
• Take on game-day duties including tarp duties, airport transportation and mascots appearances.
