The role requires at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and reliability. Some evenings and Saturdays during peak weeks are expected, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience (front desk, retail, call center, or similar).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers, email, scheduling software, and general office equipment.
• Ability to stay organized and courteous during high call and foot-traffic volume.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Available to work the full length of tax season, including some evenings and Saturdays during peak weeks.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients arriving for tax appointments and manage a busy front-desk and waiting area.
• Answer incoming phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments and routing questions to the right preparer or team member.
• Check clients in, verify contact and document information, and prepare files for tax preparers.
• Provide general information about our services, pricing, and appointment availability.
• Process payments and assist with basic account or billing questions.
• Handle client concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating when needed.
• Keep the office organized, including copying, scanning, and filing client documents.
• Support the team with other administrative tasks as needed during peak season.
