Job summary

Five Below, Inc. is hiring for a leadership role to oversee daily store operations and chill operations during shifts in a fast-paced environment. You will coach crew on exceptional customer service, assist with stock handling, and act as Manager on Duty when needed to ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.

The position emphasizes staff training, merchandising collaboration, and daily cash handling while maintaining a high-energy, welcoming store experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly check-out.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and monitor performance.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Open or close the store, secure cash, lock doors, set alarms, and ensure smooth daily operation.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising optimization and service.
• Collaborate with leadership on merchandising and store recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning and stockroom organization.
