Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years previous experience as a Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairing and cocktail recipes.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and polished appearance with attention to detail.
• Ability to work fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for payment processing.
• Understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift trays for extended periods.
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and legal drinking age verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
• Provide explanations of menu items, specials, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Assist guests in selecting food and beverages by making recommendations.
• Take accurate orders using a POS system and communicate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Ensure special requests are communicated and accommodated when possible.
• Serve food and beverages promptly with proper presentation and quality.
• Monitor tables to anticipate guest needs and refill drinks as needed.
• Prepare and serve specialty drinks or cocktails if required.
• Answer guest inquiries about food, beverages, and restaurant services.
• Upsell appetizers, desserts, or premium beverages to enhance dining experience.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Process guest payments including cash and card transactions.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth front-and-back-of-house operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area and proper table settings.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and sanitation practices.
