Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Seasonal Chef Instructor, Savory to be the in-store expert in savory cooking. You will lead hands-on classes, share cooking techniques, and inspire guests while supporting sales of cookware and kitchen tools.

You’ll deliver engaging experiences that reflect our standards of service, train with recipes, and collaborate with store teams to ensure a memorable customer journey. Availability for 12–16 hours weekly, including nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A culinary arts degree is preferred; extensive culinary experience may compensate.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver savory cooking classes and hands-on instruction.
• Drive sales by promoting class-related cookware and tools.
• Represent brand with educational experiences and high service standards.
• Assist with class setup, breakdown, and kitchen prep.
