Sur La Table in Arlington, VA is seeking a Seasonal Chef Instructor, Savory to serve as in-store expert and advocate for savory cooking. You will deliver best-in-class demonstrations and hands-on classes that promote cookware, cutlery, and kitchen tools while driving sales and guest engagement.

The role requires strong culinary knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to guide customers through engaging experiences.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• Culinary degree preferred; extensive culinary experience may substitute for formal education.
• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable in-store culinary experiences.
• Deliver savory cooking classes following provided recipes and plans to ensure consistency.
• Explain culinary concepts clearly in an encouraging and approachable manner.
• Stay current on products, engage in available training, and seek additional resources.
