Job summary

Michaels is hiring at our NYC Staten Island store for a customer service/retail associate role. You will assist customers, manage checkout, and support merchandise tasks to keep the store well-stocked and welcoming.

Training on rewards programs and private label credit options is provided, with emphasis on fast service and accuracy. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting, and working nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience and handle cash accurately
• Educate customers about rewards programs and credit options
• Assist with store operations including stocking, POS, and returns
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS and SFS) and maintain store appearance
• Participate in truck unloading, merchandising, and planogram adherence
• Ensure safety, shrink control, and compliance with SOPs
