Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking retail team members in a store setting to deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and manage checkout processes.

The role involves stocking, merchandizing, and participating in omnichannel activities like BOPIS and Ship From Store to ensure a well-stocked, inviting store. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience and are able to stand for long periods, handle cash, and follow SOPs while promoting Michaels’ benefits and rewards

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions to standard.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with accurate cash handling.
• Engage customers with the Michaels Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram maintenance.
• Maintain in-stock shelves and manage merchandise returns as needed.
• Support shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs.
• Interact professionally and model Michaels' vision and values.
