Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a Store Team Member at our Houston, TX location. You will help customers find products, answer questions, and provide a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You’ll participate in unloading trucks, stocking, and keeping the store well merchandised, while supporting omnichannel tasks like BOPIS and SFS. The role emphasizes customer service, cross-training in framing, and adherence to SOPs so we deliver a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and enrollment in Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Ensure merchandise recovery and in-stock store; support safety programs.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
