Job summary

American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel, seeks Seasonal Retail Service Agents to support peak season from September through early January. This fully remote, work-from-home role requires training and a flexible schedule, with hours 25–40 per week during training and 4–20 hours weekly post-training.

Must reside in Wisconsin or Illinois and provide a productive home workspace. You'll assist customers by phone and email, resolve issues, and maintain product knowledge while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience in call center, consumer services, retail support, or similar.
• Excellent attendance and job performance.
• Must attend mandatory virtual training for up to 10 days.
• Training schedule of 25–40 hours per week, Mon–Fri, 8:30–16:30 CDT or 17:00–22:00 CDT.
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM (880 keystrokes per minute).
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong computer proficiency with Windows and various software applications.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in customer service and transactional systems.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment in customer inquiries.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to respond to customer needs.
• Clear, confident, and professional communication with diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Create respectful, trustworthy, and meaningful customer interactions.
• Assist customers via phone and email with inquiries, purchases, reservations, orders, and service issues.
• Research and resolve customer issues, aiming for first-contact resolution.
• Use multiple systems and resources to provide accurate information and solutions.
• Process customer orders accurately while safeguarding confidential data.
• Provide personalized service addressing practical and individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store teams in written and verbal form.
• Document customer interactions and transactions in company systems.
• Maintain knowledge of American Girl products, services, promotions, and policies.
• Meet quality, productivity, attendance, and customer satisfaction expectations.
• Support additional customer service initiatives and projects as assigned.
