Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Mentor, OH is seeking a Store Team Member to help customers, stock shelves, and operate checkout systems. You will engage shoppers, promote the Rewards program, and participate in omni-channel tasks such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, ensuring in-stock levels, and maintaining a well-merchandised store. Evening and weekend shifts may be required; strong customer focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards; complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and go-backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
