St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse on the Mother Baby Unit to educate and assist new mothers during the postpartum period. You will assess both mother and baby, plan and evaluate care, and supervise non-licensed staff within RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities include providing emotional support, recognizing postpartum depression symptoms, and delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with the team. The assignment ends March 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN license (or Compact) with ability to obtain Texas license within 90 days.
• BLS and NRP certifications required per policy.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for mother and baby.
• Plan, implement and evaluate care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff as appropriate.
• Educate and support patients, recognizing postpartum depression symptoms.
