Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking an Antepartum Registered Nurse (RN) to perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement/evaluate nursing care for antepartum maternal patients, including non-critical and critical cases.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Responsibilities include documenting assessments, planning discharges, updating plans based on patient response, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments at admission.
• Create a plan of care including discharge plans and revise as patient responds to treatment.
• Document outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Ensure physician orders are noted and transcribed correctly.
• Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per hospital policy.
• Delegate work to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Care for OB/GYN, immediate delivered and postpartum maternal patients and transitioned newborns.

Education

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
