St. Davids North Austin Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit. You will coordinate patient care, perform initial and ongoing assessments, and develop individualized care plans while educating families and supporting discharge planning.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes. A BSN is preferred and licensure requirements must be met.

Formación

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact RN license; Texas license within 90 days of hire if compact.
• BLS certification required per policy; ACLS/ALS certification required per policy.
• NRP certification required per policy.
• RNC-OB certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct admission interview and document patient assessment.
• Identify changes in patient conditions and report promptly to physician or charge nurse.
• Assess and document patient education needs and provide teaching.
• Provide psychological and social support to patient and family.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary discharge planning.
• Administer medications accurately and document them legibly.
• Keep physician/Clinical Nurse Coordinator informed of significant information.
• Continuously evaluate and modify the plan of care based on patient response.
