St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Seasonal Postpartum Registered Nurse to educate and assist new mothers during the postpartum period on the Mother Baby Unit.

You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, plan and evaluate care, supervise bedside staff, and provide education and emotional support tailored to age and culture. This role requires an RN license in Texas (or Compact with 90 days to convert), BLS and NRP per policy, and at least 1 year of

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Texas RN license or Compact license (with 90 days to obtain TX license).
• NRP and BLS certification required per policy.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for mother and baby.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff within RN scope.
• Educate and support patients and recognize postpartum depression symptoms.
