HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Postpartum Registered Nurse to support new mothers and their newborns on our Mother Baby Unit. You will provide education, compassionate care, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure family-centered care.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, care planning, direct nursing care, and education tailored to age and culture, including awareness of postpartum mood changes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 1 year of acute care experience – preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact license (within 90 days).
• BLS and NRP certifications required by policy; RNC-OB – preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of mother and baby.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within RN scope.
• Educate patients and provide emotional support, recognizing postpartum depression indicators.
