Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a Front Office Specialist to be the first friendly face families meet and to manage check-in, insurance verification, and payments with accuracy. You will explain wait times and clinic processes while guiding both walk-ins and phone inquiries through multiple systems.

This role emphasizes patient privacy, teamwork with clinical staff, and delivering compassionate service to children and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enjoys working with children and families.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and during busy clinic periods.
• Ability to multitask while remaining professional and organized.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first.
• Manage patient check-in, insurance verification, and payments accurately.
• Explain wait times, clinic processes, and next steps clearly and respectfully.
• Answer phones and assist walk-in patients while managing multiple systems and priorities.
• Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in the EMR.
• Protect patient privacy and follow all applicable confidentiality requirements.
• Work closely with clinical team members to keep patient flow moving efficiently.
• Provide compassionate, professional customer service to children and their families.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk area.
• Help ensure families have a positive experience from check-in through checkout.
