Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a Front Office Specialist to join our team at the Las Palmas Clinic. You’ll handle check-in, insurance verification, payments, and patient communication to ensure smooth visits.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Responsibilities include EMR data entry, patient guidance, and collaboration with clinicians to maintain efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoys working with children and families.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and during busy clinic periods.
• Ability to multitask while remaining professional and organized.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be the calm, welcoming presence families meet first
• Manage patient check-in, insurance verification, and payments accurately
• Explain wait times, clinic processes, and next steps clearly and respectfully
• Answer phones and assist walk-in patients while managing multiple systems and priorities
• Document patient information thoroughly and accurately in the EMR
• Protect patient privacy and follow all confidentiality requirements
• Work closely with clinical team members to keep patient flow moving efficiently
• Provide compassionate, professional customer service to children and their families
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk area
• Help ensure families have a positive experience from check-in through checkout
