Qualifications

• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions associated with the assigned tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate assigned equipment.
• Ability to understand and measure base distances.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to push a lawn mower from 75 to 100% of the work day.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds frequently, use up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally, and use seventy-five (75) pounds of force frequently to move objects.

Responsibilities

• Mows, trims, reseeds, landscapes, and cleans public park grounds, facilities, and City rights of way.
• Mows grass and removes weeds, downed trees, limbs, branches, and debris from parks and abandoned private properties.
• Picks up trash and litter and empties trash barrels.
• Marks and drags ball fields.
• Cleans restroom facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of this classification.
