Job summary

Jenni Kayne is seeking a Sales Associate for its Chicago store to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive sales. You will build client relationships, manage a client book, and collaborate with designers and stylists to grow business.

The role requires 1–2 years in luxury retail, strong communication, and proficiency with POS and inventory systems. You’ll support store operations, participate in events, and promote the rewards program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail sales.
• Can-do attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability to work during peak periods—weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of POS and Inventory Management systems; MS Word and Excel.
• Team-oriented with ability to lift and move heavy objects (20+ lbs).

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and provide friendly customer service.
• Communicate with customers to determine needs.
• Build relationships with clients and maintain a client book.
• Drive sales through consignments and partnerships with interior professionals.
• Handle POS transactions including exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and wrapping.
• Support store operations: displays, stock transfers, receiving merchandise.
• Participate in store events.
• Encourage Jenni Kayne Rewards sign-ups and social engagement.
• Share feedback with management and write daily business recaps.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention guidelines.
