Job summary

The Steward at Summit at Snoqualmie keeps our kitchen running smoothly by cleaning and sanitizing dishware and equipment and managing waste and organization systems. Reporting to the Sous Chef, this seasonal role supports both culinary and front-of-house teams, with success measured by a consistently clean, well-organized kitchen during busy service times.

Located at Seattle's home mountain, just an hour from Seattle, the job offers weekend and holiday availability in a vibrant mountain resort

Qualifications

• Effective English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong active listening skills to understand and address guest and team concerns.
• Collaborative teamwork and a professional approach in all interactions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities to meet operational deadlines.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishware, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen equipment using automated systems and hand-washing techniques.
• Organize and maintain kitchen work areas, ensuring equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and positioned.
• Coordinate storage of clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment to support efficient service.
• Manage waste management systems, including sorting and disposal of garbage, recycling, and compost.
• Perform facility maintenance including floor care, surface cleaning, and deep sanitization.
• Stock supplies and food items at serving stations, storage areas, and refrigeration units.
• Coordinate logistics for transferring supplies and equipment between storage and active work areas.
• Contribute to additional operational needs and special projects as they arise.
