Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp network. You will oversee daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety to deliver scratch cooking and high-quality meals.

This is a seasonal, live-in position with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week. Competitive pay, bonus eligibility, and full room and board are provided along with travel allowances.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand long periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and maintain a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary operations, portion control, menu specs, and scratch cooking.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and health department sanitation standards.
• Control budgets, inventory, orders, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate.
