Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. This on-site, live-in position oversees daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

You will lead kitchen staff, manage inventory and orders, ensure strict food-safety standards, and serve campers with scratch cooking. Expect a challenging, rewarding season with competitive pay, bonus opportunities, and room & board.

Qualifications

4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
ServSafe Manager Certified; Allergens knowledge required.
Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely meal service.
Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan) and maintain sanitation standards.
Administration & Budget: Oversee inventory, food orders, budgeting, and daily reporting.
Client Relations: Act as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
